🌸 Pandorea (Bower Vine)
Pandorea, also known as Bower Vine, is a fast-growing climbing plant loved for its glossy foliage and trumpet-shaped flowers. Beautiful on trellises, fences, and patio containers, it adds a tropical, elegant look to any space.
☀️ Light
-Thrives in bright, indirect light to full sun.
-Indoors, place near a bright window.
-Outdoors, morning sun + afternoon shade is ideal in hot climates.
💦 Water
-Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry.
-Keep soil evenly moist, especially during active growth.
-Reduce watering slightly in colder months.
-Never allow the plant to sit in soggy soil.
🌡️ Temperature & Humidity
-Ideal temperature: 60–85°F (15–29°C).
-Not frost-tolerant—protect or bring indoors when temperatures drop below 45°F (7°C).
-Prefers moderate humidity, but adapts well to normal indoor levels.
🌱 Soil
-Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a premium indoor mix or outdoor mix with added perlite.
-If growing outdoors, ensure soil drains well and is rich in organic matter.
🍃 Fertilizer
-Feed every 4 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
-For more blooms, switch to a bloom-boosting fertilizer (higher phosphorus).
-No feeding needed during fall and winter.
🪴 Growth & Repotting
-Vigorous climber—provide a trellis or support.
-Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth.
-Repot every 1–2 years or when the plant becomes root-bound.
🐾 Pet Safety
-Not known to be toxic, but still best kept out of reach of pets and children to avoid chewing on vines.
💡 Extra Tips
-Remove spent flowers to promote continuous blooming.
-Rotate occasionally for even growth.
-Excellent for decks, patios, sunrooms, and bright indoor spaces with support structures.
